About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to contribute to the Texas power grid and wholesale market. You will work within the Commercial Operations department, supporting teams such as Market Analysis, Market Validation, Congestion Revenue Rights, Wholesale Market Operations, and Market Intelligence & Strategy. You will work alongside ERCOT employees to solve real challenges facing the electric industry.

What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Economics.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Experience with software development in C#, Java, or Python.
- Familiarity with SQL database querying.
- Experience with power systems analysis.
- A focus on Power Systems is preferred for engineering candidates.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer of 2027.
- The program runs from early June through the second week of August.
- Work is hybrid, with a requirement to be on-site in Taylor, Texas, at least 2 days per week.
