About the role#
This full-time internship supports the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team during the Summer of 2027. You will work on projects that help leadership make risk-informed decisions while gaining exposure to risk management within a critical infrastructure organization.
What you'll do#
- Identify, document, and analyze risks that impact strategic and operational objectives.
- Assist with ongoing risk assessments and track mitigation activities across business units.
- Support analysis and risk quantification efforts.
- Research industry and regulatory trends relevant to grid operations.
- Evaluate emerging risks tied to changes in the electric industry.
- Develop and analyze Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
- Research and analyze wildfire-related risks and their potential impact.
- Identify ways to maximize the use of the Exiger Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) tool.
- Explore applications of artificial intelligence to support ERM activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in business, finance, risk management, economics, or engineering (computer, electrical, or mechanical).
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Basic proficiency in Excel and data analysis techniques.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Basic research skills for tracking industry and risk management trends.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- A team-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks like COSO ERM is a plus.

- Modality: Hybrid (on-site at least 2 days per week).
- Term: Summer 2027 (June through the second week of August).
