Investment Banking Summer Intern 2027 - M&A

About the role#

Equiteq offers a 10-week Summer Internship Program beginning June 7, 2027. This structured program provides exposure to the M&A process within the technology services and consulting sectors. Interns participate in training, project-based assignments, and gain experience working alongside deal teams. Participants are assigned a dedicated buddy and mentor to support their professional development throughout the program.

What you'll do#

• Conduct market and company research focused on tech services and consulting subsectors.
• Build and refine financial models and perform valuations as part of project work.
• Complete individual and group assignments that mirror the various stages of an M&A transaction.
• Observe live transactions and support deal teams with defined tasks.
• Present project findings to bankers and receive structured feedback.

What you'll need#

• Current sophomore status, on track to graduate in summer 2028.
• Strong academic record in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; other disciplines will be considered with relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with databases such as CapitalIQ or Pitchbook is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, research, and presentation skills.
• Previous internship experience in investment banking, accounting, or transaction services is an advantage.
• Ability to build professional confidence, work with precision, and demonstrate commitment to teamwork.

• Term: Summer 2027 (10 weeks).
• Modality: On-site, full-time.
• Compensation: $25 per hour.
