About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. You will gain hands-on experience by rotating through various phases of production operations, including construction, pipeline installation, flowback, workover, ARO, and production operations. This role involves direct collaboration with engineering teams and subject matter experts to support business and field operations.
What you'll do#
- Complete daily tasks and weekly check-ins with your assigned mentor to track progress.
- Rotate through multiple production operation phases to build technical knowledge.
- Review and apply API and ASME documentation and standards.
- Develop and host a cross-training event for engineering and operations staff.
- Deliver a final presentation covering the skills and knowledge gained during your rotation.
- Meet assigned milestones and targets throughout the program.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or petroleum engineering.
- At least one year of collegiate schooling completed.
- A valid driver's license.
- Basic understanding of oil and gas production operations, including flow from the well bore to the sales point.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter with an extreme ownership mentality.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to work in both field and office environments.
- Preferred: Two years of schooling, prior oil and gas internships, advanced Microsoft Office skills, and an interest in data science.
