About the role#
As a Corporate Tax Intern at EQT Corporation, you will gain hands-on experience within the tax function of a large public company. You will work alongside our tax team to gain exposure to how tax interacts with finance, accounting, operations, and legal departments. This is a paid, 12-week internship program.
What you'll do#
- Support the Tax Department with federal, state, and local income tax, tax accounting, and non-income tax responsibilities.
- Gather and analyze financial data to assist with compliance and reporting processes.
- Research tax issues and identify ways to improve or automate recurring tax tasks.
- Prepare workpapers for federal and state corporate and partnership income tax returns.
- Assist in preparing schedules for the quarterly and annual income tax provision, including book-tax differences.
- Update depreciation schedules, reconcile fixed asset additions and disposals, and tag assets to their proper tax lives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in accounting, finance, taxation, business, or data analytics.
- Completion of introductory accounting coursework. Tax coursework is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to handle confidential financial and tax information appropriately.

- This position is based on-site in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.
- This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
