About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship program for Summer 2027. You will work within the production engineering team to gain hands-on experience in both field and office operations. The program is designed to provide exposure to various production phases while allowing you to contribute to engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through production operations phases, including construction, pipeline installation, flowback, workover, ARO, and production operations.
- Complete daily engagements with team members and weekly meetings with your mentor to track progress.
- Review and understand API and ASME documentation and standards alongside subject matter experts.
- Develop and host a cross-training event for engineering and operations teams.
- Complete an end-of-rotation presentation summarizing your technical development and project contributions.
- Meet assigned milestones and targets throughout the internship program.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or petroleum engineering.
- At least 1 year of collegiate schooling experience.
- A valid driver’s license.
- A basic understanding of oil and gas production operations, from well bore to sales point.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter with an extreme ownership mentality.
- Willingness to work in both field and office environments.
- Prior oil and gas internships and 2 years of completed schooling are preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an interest in data science are preferred.
