About the role#
This is a 12-week paid summer internship for students interested in midstream pipeline or facilities operations. You will work alongside field operations teams to gain hands-on experience and build foundational knowledge of the midstream oil and gas sector. This role involves active participation in daily maintenance and technical tasks across various project sites.
What you'll do#
- Assist field staff with daily pipeline and facility maintenance tasks.
- Support valve maintenance, filter changes, and general equipment upkeep.
- Perform grounds maintenance, including weed whacking, to ensure site access.
- Conduct routine field inspections and road crossing checks.
- Maintain asset records, inspection logs, and maintenance reports.
- Learn and apply safety protocols and compliance standards.
- Shadow team members and attend meetings to understand field operations.
- Collaborate with different departments to see how construction and maintenance work together.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering, energy-related, or technical degree program.
- A strong interest in the energy industry, infrastructure, or project execution.
- Basic knowledge of field operations, mechanical, or construction principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel locally to project sites.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
