About the role#
This is a paid, 11-week summer internship based at our headquarters in Irving, Texas. You will work on-site to support our Maintenance Safety and Compliance team, gaining experience in the commercial aviation sector while working alongside industry professionals.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Program Manager for CASS, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance Safety.
- Identify repeat problem areas and determine the root causes of systemic findings.
- Assist in developing data to support Risk Analysis.
- Evaluate existing policies, programs, and procedures to find weaknesses.
- Identify necessary changes in CAMP and CASS-based maintenance programs.
- Verify the effectiveness of procedural changes and corrective actions.
- Help maintain databases, analytical programs, and reporting tools for the CASS program.
- Identify gaps in current M&TS operational interfaces.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Aviation Maintenance Management or a related field.
- Junior, Senior, or Graduate student status at the start of the internship.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Familiarity with data analysis concepts and data structures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow with minimal supervision.
- A high degree of integrity, as the role involves handling confidential data.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
