About the role#
Entegris is looking for a Microanalysis Scientist Co-Op to join the team in Billerica, Massachusetts. This is a full-time, 6-month assignment for the Winter 2027 term. You will work with the micro-analysis group to develop methods for evaluating particle and pore size distribution using advanced imaging and software.
What you'll do#
- Perform and present analytical test results to senior scientists and engineers.
- Gain proficiency in tools like Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), Confocal 3D Fluorescence Microscopy, and Microscope FTIR.
- Develop and iterate on test methodologies.
- Discuss your findings and suggest future project directions.
- Support routine analytical services by testing samples from other internal teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Background in Computer Science, Chemistry, Materials Science, Optics, Imaging Science, or Chemical Engineering.
- Strong skills in data analysis, problem-solving, and organization.
- Ability to communicate technical findings clearly in writing and presentations.
- Capacity to work both independently and within a team.
- Familiarity with digital image analysis, data processing, or programming is preferred.
- Knowledge of optical microscopy, specifically laser scanning confocal microscopy, is a plus.
- Familiarity with your university requirements for co-op participation.

- Location: Billerica, Massachusetts.
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday, 8a-5p).
- Term: January through June 2027.
