About the role#
Entegris is seeking a Materials Engineering Co-Op to join the Advanced Purity Solutions team in Chaska, Minnesota. This position is for the Winter 2027 season and lasts for 6 months. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role. Please note that Entegris does not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.
What you'll do#
- Lead polymer development projects with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and product management.
- Create material solutions that meet specific customer product and application requirements.
- Develop qualification plans and define success criteria for applications.
- Support engineering and other departments by addressing issues with new and existing materials.
- Investigate material failures to find root causes and work with teams to recommend corrective actions.
- Document your findings through data packages and material specifications.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program for Materials, Chemical, or Polymer Engineering.
- Experience or exposure to the formulation and development of polymeric compounds.
- Analytical background with knowledge of chemical and polymer analysis laboratory instrumentation and methods.
- Knowledge of polymer manufacturing and processing techniques such as injection molding, rotomolding, blow molding, and extrusion.
- Experience with structured DOE and statistical methods in an R&D environment.
- Understanding of Root Cause and Corrective Action processes.
- Familiarity with your university requirements for participating in a co-op program.
- Experience in a global R&D environment is preferred.
