About the role#
Entegris is hiring a Controls Engineering Co-Op for our site in Burnet, Texas. This is a full-time, 6-month assignment for the Winter 2027 term. You will work alongside established controls engineers to develop equipment programming, improve existing systems, and support daily manufacturing operations.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
- Modify, test, and optimize machine control programs to improve performance.
- Partner with engineering and production teams to support daily operations.
- Assist in developing equipment upgrades and process improvements.
- Analyze equipment performance to identify ways to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Create and maintain machine and process documentation.
- Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.
- Gain hands-on experience with industrial automation technologies.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a student in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Exposure to programming languages such as C++, Python, HTML, Java, or PLC programming.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new software and manufacturing technologies quickly.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and an interest in process optimization.
- Familiarity with your university requirements for co-op participation.
Location & details#
- Location: Burnet, Texas.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, use hand tools, and climb ladders or staircases.
