About the role#
Entegris is seeking a Continuous Improvement Co-Op for our facility in Colorado Springs. This is a 6-month, full-time assignment running from January through June 2027. You will work on operational excellence initiatives by partnering with our operations, engineering, quality, and production teams to drive improvements in safety, quality, and productivity.
What you'll do#
- Support and facilitate Lean Manufacturing initiatives throughout the facility.
- Participate in Kaizen events to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Conduct Gemba walks to observe processes and identify problem-solving opportunities.
- Assist with the implementation and sustainment of 5S workplace organization programs.
- Identify and eliminate the eight wastes of Lean.
- Support Kanban and pull-system implementation to improve material flow and inventory management.
- Apply Six Sigma methodologies to reduce process variation and improve capability.
- Perform root cause analysis using tools like 5 Why, Fishbone Diagrams, Pareto Analysis, and Process Mapping.
- Support Total Daily Management activities, including metric tracking and performance board updates.
- Analyze manufacturing performance data to identify trends in productivity and quality.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or Operations/Supply Chain Management.
- Graduation date of December 2026 or later.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Familiarity with your university requirements for co-op participation.
Location & details#
- Location: Colorado Springs, CO.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January through June).
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8a-5p.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $20-$30 per hour.
