About the role#
ENSCO is hiring an Information Security Intern to support our daily cybersecurity operations. You will primarily assist with internal SOC activities as we expand our monitoring and response capabilities. This role also involves supporting compliance, vulnerability management, and general IT help desk tasks.
What you'll do#
- Monitor, triage, and document Tier 1 SOC alerts.
- Assist with security incident and phishing investigations.
- Track vulnerabilities and follow up on remediation efforts.
- Manage InfoSec help desk and security-related tickets.
- Provide support to the IT Help Desk with user support and troubleshooting.
- Help with compliance activities like CMMC and NIST SP 800-171, including evidence collection.
- Maintain security playbooks, reports, and operational documentation.
- Support ongoing cybersecurity projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of Windows, networking, incident response, and cybersecurity concepts.
- Strong skills in communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and analysis.
- The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- U.S. citizenship is required.

- Compensation: Paid position, $20 to $27 per hour.
