About the role#
The Event Technology Intern assists in the setup and operation of audiovisual systems for live events. You will work on-site to ensure client needs are met while gaining experience in technical support. This role reports to field or corporate management and involves working in a hotel environment.
What you'll do#
- Handle the setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment.
- Monitor events and check in with guests to ensure equipment functions properly.
- Troubleshoot and solve technical issues with equipment and software.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients through clear communication.
- Complete necessary paperwork, finalize invoices, and perform order entries.
- Coordinate with other staff and outside vendors regarding equipment needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BA/BS degree program, preferably in Hospitality, Business, Media Production, or Radio/TV/Film.
- Between 0 and 6 months of experience in field audio-visual work or customer service.
- Technical aptitude and an interest in new technology.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Capability to work at a hotel location within the major metro market.

- Location: Overland Park, Kansas.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Rolling term, part-time, including irregular hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Compensation: Paid internship.
