About the role#
The NextGen Event Marketing & Communications Internship provides college students and recent graduates with hands-on experience in event planning, marketing strategy, and business operations. This remote program focuses on building practical skills through participation in real events, campaigns, and initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of events.
- Support marketing campaigns including email, social media, and promotions.
- Create and schedule content for digital platforms.
- Conduct research for events, partnerships, and outreach.
- Collaborate with team members on projects, assignments, and brainstorming sessions.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or Public Health.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze and solve problems independently.
- A detail-oriented approach to producing high-quality work.
- Reliability and accountability in meeting deadlines and commitments.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Comfort working in a remote environment.
- Basic familiarity with digital tools such as Google Docs, email, and social media platforms.
- A proactive, resourceful, and team-oriented mindset.
Location & details#
- This is a remote, unpaid internship.
- The position requires a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.
- Flexible scheduling is available Monday through Friday between 10 AM and 5 PM EST.
- Interns meet with a supervisor before each shift to review assignments and receive guidance.
- Students may receive academic credit if approved by their college or university.
