About the role#
This is an 8-week paid internship based in the Home Office in Birmingham, Alabama. You will work within the Non-Income Tax and Reimbursement departments to gain exposure to corporate accounting operations. The program runs from June 7, 2027, to July 30, 2027.
What you'll do#
You will support administrative, operational, and compliance tasks across several tax areas. Your work includes:
- Assisting with sales and use tax, unclaimed property, business licenses, property tax, and W-9 administration.
- Supporting the preparation of regulatory filings and federal and state reporting documentation.
- Managing record maintenance, system updates, and various departmental initiatives.
- Participating in program-specific intern activities and preparing a final presentation on the skills you learned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Availability to work on-site in Birmingham, Alabama for the full duration of the program.
