About the role#
The Data Management Student Intern joins Encompass Health for the summer of 2027. This position supports our data analysts and engineers with daily projects and programs. You will manage assigned tasks while learning about our internal systems and business processes. This is a paid, full-time internship based at our home office.
What you'll do#
- Support data analysts and engineers with ongoing projects.
- Manage assigned tasks and respond to requests from internal business units.
- Contribute to the improvement of enterprise databases and integrations.
- Keep the Data Management Lead updated on your activities and any issues.
- Complete all work accurately and on schedule.
- Participate in intern-specific activities and create a presentation on the skills you learned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program or higher in Computer Science, Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic familiarity with SQL, database administration, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle concepts.
- Basic knowledge of security trends and threats.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and UNIX platforms, such as Linux, AIX, or Solaris.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Duration: Monday, June 7, 2027, to Friday, July 30, 2027.
