About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site in Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, within our engineering department. This program lasts 10 to 12 weeks and focuses on providing hands-on experience in manufacturing technology. You will be assigned specific projects to help you understand our operations and contribute to the team.
What you'll do#
- Prepare detailed drawings for new or original designs.
- Create layouts, piping diagrams, and tool fixtures.
- Work independently to develop original design concepts.
- Produce manufacturing drawings.
- Manage administrative design data, including part numbers, item descriptions, bills of materials, and technical specifications.
- Analyze project requirements and present design options.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Entry level mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, dimensions, and measurements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience using AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
