About the role#
Emerson is hiring a Quality Engineering Intern to join our team in Austin, Texas. This role supports the Global Quality team by providing data solutions, insights, and tools that help reduce quality risks. You will contribute to improvement initiatives, process analysis, and various projects that support our manufacturing sites and global partners.
What you'll do#
- Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and process performance.
- Participate in problem-solving activities, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification of improvements.
- Help reduce quality risks through process evaluation, trend monitoring, and preventive actions.
- Maintain quality documentation, procedures, work instructions, and project records.
- Prepare materials, summaries, and presentations for quality reviews and leadership updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and business objectives.
- Interact with teammates across various global locations.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Biomedical).
- Familiarity with statistical or analytical methods.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Preferred: Current pursuit of a Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Preferred: Exposure to quality or manufacturing systems.
- Preferred: GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Preferred: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
