About the role#
As an Internal Audit Intern, you will work within an audit team to ensure business unit financial statements and controls align with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and corporate policies. You will operate under the supervision of an Audit Senior, using a risk-based approach that includes business strategy analysis. This internship runs from late May through mid-August, with the goal of preparing participants for full-time roles as Staff Auditors upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Perform financial audits and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) control reviews.
- Report on control deficiencies to management and provide recommendations to mitigate risk.
- Challenge existing processes across the company to identify opportunities for refinement.
- Communicate with a variety of stakeholders across the organization.
- Participate in travel within the United States and potentially internationally, estimated at 15-25% of the role.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer term.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. Please note that sponsorship is not provided for this position.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational abilities, and the capacity to work under tight deadlines.
