About the role#
Emerson is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our team in Boulder, Colorado. You will work with a team to develop solutions for manufacturing production operations. Your primary goal is to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role.
What you'll do#
- Apply technical expertise to the production of products.
- Select, design, or recommend tools, fixtures, and equipment.
- Develop manufacturing processes and procedures to reduce problems and costs.
- Recommend design changes to increase quality.
- Solve production problems and improve process capabilities.
- Participate in the presentation of test results and design reviews.
- Interact with functional groups, vendors, and customers.
- Participate in the administration of technical procedures.
- Initiate and implement routine engineering change authorizations.
- Support capacity models and lean initiatives, including lean six sigma improvement teams.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Computer, Electrical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) in-person.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. Please note that sponsorship is not provided for this position.
- Zero years of related experience.
- Preferred: A GPA of 3.0 or above and prior internship experience.

- Location: Boulder, Colorado, USA.

- Compensation: $24 to $28 per hour, commensurate with year in school and experience.
