About the role#
Elk Valley Resources is seeking a Talent Management Co-op student for an 8 or 12-month term beginning in September 2026. This full-time, paid position is based on-site in Calgary, Alberta.
What you'll do#
- Support campus recruitment initiatives through both virtual and on-site engagement at post-secondary institutions across Canada while adhering to health and safety policies.
- Provide technical assistance for performance management and succession planning programs using the SuccessFactors HRIS.
- Partner with the HRIS team to support reporting, test system enhancements, and troubleshoot issues.
- Develop visual and written communication materials for talent management programs.
- Track and develop metrics to measure the effectiveness of talent management initiatives.
- Assist with data preparation, validation, and the organization of electronic filing systems.
- Provide project support for key talent management initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Undergraduate degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Human Resources.
- Proficiency in working with large data sets and tracking data to support decision-making.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Access.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to multidisciplinary teams.
- A motivated approach with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure while maintaining confidentiality.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License or extra-provincial equivalent without learner's restrictions is preferred.
