The September 2026 Campus Recruitment Co-op is a full-time, paid position based in Sparwood, British Columbia. This role supports the Coal Division's campus team for a duration of 8 or 12 months, beginning in September 2026. You will gain hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, and student engagement while working alongside industry specialists.
What you'll do#
- Participate in and adhere to all health and safety programs and policies.
- Assist with the nationwide Campus Recruitment Program, including virtual and in-person attraction efforts at post-secondary institutions across Canada.
- Support student-employee engagement and retention strategies, including the planning and execution of student-focused events.
- Manage the onboarding process using SAP.
- Build and maintain relationships with external organizations and internal business partners.
- Participate in the full-cycle recruitment process, including interviewing students for co-op and summer positions.
- Post job opportunities to company and school job boards.
- Evaluate and implement innovative ideas to improve business processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License or extra-provincial equivalent.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
- Ability to work as a self-starter who can prioritize tasks under pressure while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Previous experience with HR programs or software is considered an asset.

- Location: Sparwood, British Columbia, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Compensation: $4,117 - $5,192 CAD per month, commensurate with academic progress and prior experience.
