September 2026 Supply Chain Management Co-op

About the role#

Elk Valley Resources is seeking a Supply Chain Management Co-op student for the Fall 2026 term. This full-time, on-site role is based in Sparwood, British Columbia, within the Coal Division. You will gain hands-on experience in mining operations while receiving mentorship from industry specialists.

What you'll do#

• Participate in health and safety programs to support site-wide safety standards.
• Assist with research projects, including negotiations, market trends, and economic analysis.
• Perform database administration and manage inventory replenishment.
• Prepare tender documentation.
• Learn and perform duties related to direct charge buying.
• Support business improvement initiatives.
• Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to improve business processes.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce or a degree in Supply Chain Management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Capability to operate vehicles at operation sites.
