About the role#
As a Paper & Pulp Engineering Technical Sales Intern, you will partner with experienced Field Sales Representatives to learn our approach to account management and customer service. You will gain hands-on experience using technical expertise to solve problems for customers in the Paper & Pulp industry. This internship combines engineering principles with a consultative sales approach, focusing on account leadership and the retention of strategic accounts.
What you'll do#
- Complete an independent project to yield calculated ROI.
- Finish safety training and technical lessons related to water treatment applications.
- Observe and participate in customer service, including chemical application, process optimization, and documentation.
- Complete introductory training on our consultative sales approach.
- Visit multiple customer sites, with 40-60% of your time spent in the field learning best practices.
- Build relationships with critical departments and personnel.
- Provide routine service support to Sales Representatives, which may include testing boilers, cooling towers, and paper process streams.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or Industrial Engineering.
- Expected graduation date in December 2027 or Summer 2028.
- Valid US Driver’s License with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Access to a personal vehicle.
- Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
