About the role#
Join the Research & Development team at East Penn Manufacturing for a Summer 2027 internship. You will work with engineers and scientists to develop and evaluate battery technologies. This role provides hands-on experience in a research environment where you can apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Build and evaluate lead-acid and other battery chemistries.
- Conduct electrochemical and cell performance testing.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret technical data.
- Prepare reports and present project findings to engineering teams.
- Review and summarize scientific and technical publications.
- Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and manufacturing personnel on project-based initiatives.
- Support research activities in the laboratory, office, and manufacturing areas.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Interest in science, engineering, and innovation.
