About the role#
This internship supports the EAA social media and content teams by creating, editing, and publishing multimedia content across our digital platforms. You will focus on social media storytelling and develop posts, videos, and visual content that share the spirit of EAA, our members, and the world of aviation.
What you'll do#
- Create and publish social media content including posts, captions, photos, short videos, and stories for Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Capture and edit multimedia content that highlights EAA programs, members, and events.
- Monitor social media trends and analytics to help shape strategy, increase engagement, and grow our online presence.
- Collaborate with teammates in Social Media, Publications, Photo/Video, Marketing, Digital, and Design to ensure high-quality content across channels.
- Provide recommendations for improving content production processes.
- Support the EAA mission and maintain safe practices in the workplace and aviation environment.
What you'll need#
- You are actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven storytelling and writing skills with an engaging, social-friendly tone.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices for content creation.
- Creativity and curiosity, with the ability to develop fresh ideas and visual narratives.
- A self-starter attitude with the initiative to pitch story ideas and take projects from concept to completion.
- Basic photography and videography skills, including familiarity with editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Edius, Lightroom, Canva, or CapCut.
- Strong attention to detail and editing skills.
- Ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders and staff to reach common goals.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Word.
- Knowledge of or interest in aviation.

- Location: Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship with a rolling term.
About EAA
The Experimental Aircraft Association is a nonprofit organization based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Founded in 1953, the group supports individuals interested in building, restoring, and flying recreational aircraft. It hosts the annual EAA AirVenture Oshkosh convention at Wittman Regional Airport. The organization manages a range of aviation activities including vintage aircraft preservation, aerobatics, and education.
