About the role#
Dominion Energy Brunswick Power Station is seeking an Instrument Technician Intern to gain hands-on experience in power station operations and maintenance. You will work alongside experienced technicians to monitor and control plant equipment, gaining exposure to industrial maintenance practices in a team-oriented environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the inspection, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation.
- Support preventative maintenance activities at the power station.
- Collect and analyze plant data.
- Participate in equipment inspections.
- Help with projects related to instrumentation and control systems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 2-year or 4-year school pursuing a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Electronics Technology, Instrumentation Technology, or a comparable field.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- An anticipated graduation date of Spring 2028 or later.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and attention to detail.
- A commitment to safety and continuous learning.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
