About the role#
Dominion Energy is seeking an Instrument Technician Intern to support operations and maintenance at the Gravel Neck Generating Station. You will work alongside experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience with the control systems used to monitor power generation equipment.
What you'll do#
- Support daily operations and maintenance activities.
- Assist with equipment inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Perform data collection, testing, and troubleshooting support.
- Update technical documentation.
- Support the calibration and maintenance of instruments like flow meters, pressure transmitters, and temperature sensors.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Associate's degree program in Instrumentation, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Graduation date in Fall 2028 or 2029.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to apply technical concepts in an industrial setting.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational habits.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Initiative and a willingness to learn.

- Location: Surry, Virginia.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, rolling term.
- Compensation: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour.
