As a Co-op Quality Engineer, you will support the organization's goal of achieving ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification. This role involves collaborating with administrative, engineering, and technical staff to support environmental compliance and sustainable operations. You will work on a variety of projects tailored to your skillset and interests, gaining exposure to both product development and manufacturing processes.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing, refining, and organizing documentation required for ISO 14001 certification.
- Conduct internal audits, gap assessments, and compliance checks aligned with ISO 14001 requirements.
- Participate in developing corrective and preventive actions related to environmental performance.
- Support the rollout of EMS processes, training materials, and communication tools.
- Lead and execute Continuous Improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collect, analyze, and visualize environmental performance metrics, including waste, recycling, emissions, and energy usage.
- Improve environmental reporting systems and automate repetitive data-related tasks using tools such as Excel, Power Query, SQL, and PowerShell.
- Assist engineers in developing work procedures and instructions using MS Office applications and Visio.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering program (Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science, or Data Science) at an accredited university.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new applications quickly.
- Experience with data query tools (SQL, Power Query, Power Automate), database development, or Power BI is considered an asset.

- Locations: Richmond and Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: $23.50 - $27.50 CAD per hour.
- Benefits: Paid position including statutory holidays, free on-site parking, and company events.
