Software Engineering CoOp

About the role#

Doble Engineering is seeking a full-time Software Engineering CoOp for a minimum 6-month term. This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Marlborough, Massachusetts, and requires on-site attendance. You will join our Software team to contribute to the definition, design, implementation, and delivery of software products for the utility industry.

What you'll do#

• Work alongside engineers in an Agile environment featuring 3-week sprints and regular demos.
• Collaborate with embedded developers to build and refine software solutions.
• Leverage Linux skills to develop embedded debugging capabilities.
• Learn to program and test within real-time environments.
• Develop engineering test and validation processes using tools such as Jenkins.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• A motivated, self-starting approach with the ability to learn new skills and environments quickly while multi-tasking.
• Aptitude for identifying technical problems, analyzing solutions, and directing their implementation.
• Experience with one or more of the following: C# .NET, C++, Java, or Python.
• Familiarity with Agile development, full-stack N-Tier/SaaS development, web technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, JSON), SQL databases, and Visual Studio is beneficial.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

• Location: Marlborough, Massachusetts.
• Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday.
• Compensation: This is a paid position.
