About the role#
Doble Engineering is seeking a full-time Software Engineering CoOp for a minimum 6-month term. This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Marlborough, Massachusetts, and requires on-site attendance. You will join our Software team to contribute to the definition, design, implementation, and delivery of software products for the utility industry.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside engineers in an Agile environment featuring 3-week sprints and regular demos.
- Collaborate with embedded developers to build and refine software solutions.
- Leverage Linux skills to develop embedded debugging capabilities.
- Learn to program and test within real-time environments.
- Develop engineering test and validation processes using tools such as Jenkins.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- A motivated, self-starting approach with the ability to learn new skills and environments quickly while multi-tasking.
- Aptitude for identifying technical problems, analyzing solutions, and directing their implementation.
- Experience with one or more of the following: C# .NET, C++, Java, or Python.
- Familiarity with Agile development, full-stack N-Tier/SaaS development, web technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, JSON), SQL databases, and Visual Studio is beneficial.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
