Lab Intern

About the role#

This Summer 2026 internship at Doble Engineering provides an opportunity to gain practical experience within an Insulating Materials Laboratory. Interns will work under general supervision, transitioning to a high degree of independence after training. This is a paid, full-time position.

What you'll do#

• Test insulating liquids and materials to determine their physical, chemical, and electrical properties using ASTM, IEC, and internal methods.
• Prepare materials for laboratory examination and testing.
• Perform data validation and verify instrument quality control.
• Adhere to all laboratory safety procedures and protocols.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a college degree program for Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or a related scientific field, with a high school diploma required.
• Prior test lab experience, whether gained through high school or university settings.
• Knowledge of basic chemistry principles and safe laboratory work habits.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and effective written and oral communication skills in English.
• Physical ability to stand, sit, and lift up to 30 pounds.
