Software Engineering CoOp

About the role#

The Software Engineering Co-Op position is a full-time, 6-month opportunity based at our corporate headquarters in Marlborough, Massachusetts. You will work alongside software and embedded engineers to contribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of software products for the utility industry. You will participate in an Agile development environment with 3-week sprints and regular feedback sessions.

What you'll do#

• Develop in an Agile environment and participate in 3-week sprints and demos.
• Collaborate with software and embedded developers.
• Utilize Linux skills to build embedded debugging capabilities and learn to program and test in real-time environments.
• Develop engineering tests and validation processes using tools such as Jenkins.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree program.
• A technical background with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Aptitude for learning new skills quickly, multi-tasking, and analyzing complex problems to propose and implement solutions.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Location & details#

• Location: Marlborough, Massachusetts (On-site).
• Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday–Friday.
• Duration: Minimum of 6 months.
• Compensation: Hourly pay range of $26.00 to $33.00.
