About the role#
DigiPen Academy is seeking full-time Teaching Assistants for Summer 2026. This role supports K-12 students in programs covering video game programming, art and animation, game design, computer science, and music and sound design. Successful candidates will represent the institution, facilitate student engagement, and help maintain a productive learning environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the instruction of approved curriculum, classroom management, and student mentorship.
- Engage students in active learning and foster a friendly, safe environment.
- Represent the institution to students, parents, and peers.
- Assist the K-12 team with student check-in procedures.
- Collaborate with instructors and perform a variety of assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Extensive knowledge in computer science, art and animation, game design, engineering, or music and sound design.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to engage students, generate enthusiasm, and adapt to unforeseen circumstances.
- Willingness to perform a variety of tasks and an eagerness to learn.
- If applying for Art and Animation programs, a link to an art portfolio must be included in your resume.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington. Candidates must reside within the state of Washington.
- Work Modality: On-site, with hybrid options available for the Pre-College Program only.
- Term: Summer 2026, specifically June 15th through July 24th.
- Schedule: Full-time, up to 40 hours per week, typically between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm.
- Eligibility: Applicants cannot be enrolled in Summer semester courses while working this position. Priority consideration is given to applications submitted before April 5, 2026.
