    About the role#

    This position involves providing drop-in tutoring within the Academic Support Lab to assist students with 100- and 200-level courses. Tutors serve as an additional resource to help peers master course concepts, improve study strategies, and complete academic tasks. This role is open to current DigiPen students, with preference given to those with Federal Work Study (FWS) awards.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide drop-in tutoring sessions for select 100- and 200-level courses.
    • Assist students with homework, projects, test preparation, research, and papers.
    • Help students understand classroom concepts and develop effective learning strategies.
    • Track questions and concepts tutored through routine documentation.
    • Conduct periodic check-ins with faculty regarding the subject areas tutored.
    • Review class syllabi, curricula, and assignments to prepare for sessions.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
    • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
    • A grade of 3.0 or better in the specific courses you intend to tutor.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • At least one faculty reference from DigiPen listed on your resume.
    • Willingness to work with students from diverse backgrounds and share information about campus resources.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Redmond, Washington. Work must be performed within the state of Washington.
    • Term: Fall 2026 through Spring 2027 (September 7, 2026 – April 23, 2027).
    • Modality: On-site at the Academic Support Lab.
    • Hours: Maximum of 10 hours per week.
    • Compensation: $17.12 – $18.25 per hour, depending on the number of terms worked at DigiPen.
    • Eligibility: Applicants must be matriculated students in good academic standing. Note that students are not permitted to work during their scheduled class times.
