DigiPen Institute of Technology is seeking a Student Teaching Assistant for PHY-200 and PHY-200L for the Summer 2026 term. This on-site position supports the instructor in classroom and laboratory settings, assisting with equipment setup, student guidance, and grading. TAs are expected to meet weekly with the instructor for feedback and maintain consistent communication regarding student progress.
What you'll do#
- Guide students in setting up experiments during lab sessions.
- Supervise and advise students during labs.
- Answer student questions during class and lab hours.
- Grade lab reports based on provided guidelines and upload results to Moodle.
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their work.
- Assist with additional classroom duties as assigned by the instructor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Completion of PHY-200 or PHY-200L with a grade of B or better.
- Proven proficiency with the course material.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Good Academic Standing (not currently on Academic Warning).
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington, United States.
- Term: Summer 2026 (May 20 – July 31, 2026).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $17.13 – $18.25 per hour, depending on the number of terms worked at DigiPen.
- Hours: 10 – 20 hours per week.
- Note: Student employees must reside within the state of Washington. Work is not permitted during scheduled class times.
