This is a part-time Student Teaching Assistant position for the FLM-201 Cinematography course during the Summer 2026 term. The role supports the instructor in classroom operations, grading, and student mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Assist the instructor with classroom setup, equipment operation, and facilitating student presentations.
- Provide constructive feedback during student critiques and answer questions during labs.
- Assist with grading assignments outside of class hours.
- Manage logistics, including checking out equipment from the library and moving film equipment between classrooms.
- Meet regularly with the instructor for performance feedback and duty adjustments.
- Track and report all hours worked accurately.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Successful completion of FLM 201 or FLM 210 with a grade of B or better.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and must be in Good Academic Standing.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to work on-site in Redmond, Washington.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Term: Summer 2026 (May 12 – July 28, 2026).
- Hours: 4 hours per week.
- Wage: $17.13 - $18.25 per hour, based on experience at DigiPen.
- Note: Students are not permitted to work during any time they have a scheduled class.
