DigiPen Institute of Technology is seeking a Teaching Assistant for MAT-200 (Hanson) for the Summer 2026 term. This is a paid, part-time student employment position based on-site in Redmond, Washington. Applicants must be currently matriculated students at DigiPen in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
What you'll do#
- Grade student work and exams while maintaining consistency and clarity in feedback.
- Assist students in labs and during published office hours, including meeting with students online if required.
- Upload grades to Moodle and ensure the timely delivery of graded assignments.
- Assist the instructor with classroom tasks, such as equipment setup, operating slide decks, and facilitating presentations.
- Track and report hours worked and meet weekly with the instructor for performance feedback.
What you'll need#
- Successful completion of MAT-200 (ideally with a grade of B or better).
- Proven proficiency with the course material and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to act as a mentor to fellow students.
- A positive attitude toward learning and a commitment to the success of other students.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to remain focused during work hours.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lbs, with the role requiring approximately 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington (on-site).
- Term: May 4 – July 31, 2026.
- Hours: 4 hours per week.
- Wage: $17.13 – $18.25 per hour, based on previous terms worked at the institution.
- Note: Students must reside within the State of Washington and are not permitted to work during scheduled class times.
