This position is for a Student Teaching Assistant for MAT-150 (McCurdy) during the Summer 2026 term. This is an on-site, part-time role based in Redmond, Washington. Applicants must be currently matriculated students at DigiPen Institute of Technology and reside within the state of Washington.
What you'll do#
- Grade student work and exams while maintaining consistency and clarity.
- Upload grades to Moodle.
- Provide assistance to students during labs and scheduled office hours.
- Meet with students online if required.
- Track and report hours worked.
- Deliver graded assignments and reports in a timely manner.
What you'll need#
- Successful completion of MAT-150 (or a subsequent calculus course with a B or better).
- A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and good academic standing.
- Proven proficiency with the course material.
- Ability to act as a mentor and interact with students on an instructional level.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to help others excel.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington (On-site).
- Term: May 4, 2026 – July 31, 2026.
- Hours: Approximately 4 hours per week.
- Compensation: $17.13 - $18.25 per hour, based on previous terms worked at DigiPen.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs; role involves approximately 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing.
