About the role#
DigiPen Institute of Technology is seeking a Student Teaching Assistant for the FLM-201 Cinematography course for the Winter 2026 term. This position supports the instructor in classroom management, equipment handling, and student mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Assist the instructor with classroom setup, equipment operation, and facilitating student presentations.
- Provide support during lab sessions by answering student questions and critiquing work with constructive feedback.
- Conduct hands-on lighting exercises and assist with pre-grading assessments.
- Manage equipment logistics, including checking items out from the library and shuttling film gear between classrooms.
- Perform grading duties outside of class hours and meet regularly with the instructor for performance feedback.
- Track and report all hours worked.
What you'll need#
- Must be a currently matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Must have passed FLM 201 or FLM 210 with a grade of B or better.
- Ability to physically carry 20 lbs.

- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Term: January 5 – April 24, 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: 4 hours per week.
- Requirements: Students must reside within the State of Washington; remote work is not permitted. Students may not work during their own scheduled class times.
