DigiPen Institute of Technology is seeking a Student Teaching Assistant for the DES-250-A course during the Summer 2026 term. This position involves supporting the instructor and students through lab assistance, grading, and mentorship. This is a paid, part-time position requiring 5-10 hours of work per week between May 12, 2026, and August 4, 2026.
What you'll do#
- Assist students in the on-campus lab, ensuring physical presence for the entire duration of the lab section.
- Grade student assignments and upload results to Moodle.
- Provide constructive, clear, and consistent feedback to students on their work.
- Support the instructor with classroom operations, such as equipment setup and facilitating presentations.
- Meet weekly with the instructor to discuss performance and duties.
- Maintain accurate records of hours worked.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Proven proficiency with Unreal Engine and Blueprints visual scripting.
- Ability to attend at least one lab section in its entirety.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide professional critique.
- A positive, mentorship-oriented attitude toward helping fellow students succeed.
- Ability to work independently and maintain focus during lab hours.
- Must reside within the state of Washington.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Wage: $17.13 – $18.25 per hour, based on previous terms worked at the institution.
- Eligibility: Applicants must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and must have passed DES-250 with a grade of B or better (exceptions may be requested via academic waiver).
