About the role#

This position serves as a Teaching Assistant for CS-225 (Chambers) during the Summer 2026 term. The role involves supporting the instructor and students, facilitating classroom operations, and providing mentorship to help students succeed in the course material. This is a paid, part-time position requiring 5-10 hours of work per week.

What you'll do#

• Assist students during labs and published office hours, including online meetings when required.
• Support the instructor with equipment setup, operation of lecture materials, and facilitation of student presentations.
• Perform grading tasks outside of the classroom and assist with pre-grading assessments.
• Troubleshoot technical or course-related issues.
• Track and report all hours worked accurately.
• Meet weekly with the instructor for performance feedback and duty coordination.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
• Proven proficiency with the CS-225 course material, with a grade of B or better in the course.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and good academic standing.
• A positive attitude toward learning and a willingness to help others excel.
• Ability to mentor other students and work independently.
• Comfort interacting with students on an instructional level.

Location & details#

• Location: Redmond, Washington. Note that student workers must reside within the State of Washington; remote work from outside the state is not permitted.
• Term: May 4, 2026 – August 4, 2026.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Students are not permitted to work during any time they have a class scheduled. Class times for this course are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 p.m. to 3:40 p.m.
