    About the role#

    DigiPen Institute of Technology is seeking a Student Teaching Assistant for the 3D Digital Art Pipeline (CG-2002-E) course for the Winter 2026 term. This position supports the instructor in classroom operations and provides mentorship to students navigating the 3D art pipeline. TAs are expected to maintain professional standards, track their hours, and participate in weekly feedback sessions with the instructor.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with classroom logistics, including equipment setup, running slide decks, and submitting attendance sheets.
    • Facilitate student presentations and provide professional critiques.
    • Support students during lab sessions and host one to two scheduled TA support sessions per week.
    • Pre-grade assessments and assist with grading tasks outside of class.
    • Meet weekly with the instructor for performance reviews and duty adjustments.

    What you'll need#

    • Must be a currently matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
    • Successful completion of CG-2002 and its prerequisite, CG-2001, with a grade of B or better.
    • Proven proficiency in the course material and comfort with 3D art pipeline tools such as Maya, ZBrush, Substance 3D Painter, and Marmoset.
    • Ability to work independently and interact with students on an instructional level as a mentor.
    • Strong communication skills and a reliable, punctual approach to responsibilities.
    • Good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.

    Location & details#

    • Location: On-site in Redmond, Washington.
    • Term: Winter 2026 (January 7 – April 22, 2026).
    • Work Modality: On-site; students must reside within the State of Washington.
    • Schedule: Class times are Tuesdays, 10:00 a.m. – 12:50 p.m. Students may not work during any time they have a scheduled class.
    • Compensation: $17.13 – $18.25 per hour, based on the number of terms worked at DigiPen.
