This position is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) for the course CG-2002-D: 3D Digital Art Pipeline during the Winter 2026 term. The TA supports the instructor in classroom operations and provides mentorship to students enrolled in the course. This is a paid, on-site student employment opportunity based in Redmond, Washington.
What you'll do#
- Assist the instructor with classroom tasks, including equipment setup, operation of slide decks, and facilitating student presentations.
- Answer student questions during lab sessions and provide professional critique on 3D art pipeline work.
- Handle administrative tasks such as pre-grading assessments and submitting attendance sheets.
- Host one to two scheduled TA support sessions per week, either in-person or online as required.
- Meet weekly with the instructor to receive performance feedback and discuss duty modifications.
What you'll need#
- Must be a currently matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Successfully completed CG-2002 and its prerequisite, CG-2001, with a grade of B or better.
- Proven proficiency with course material and familiarity with tools such as Maya, ZBrush, Substance 3D Painter, and Marmoset.
- A positive attitude, a willingness to help others succeed, and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor peers effectively.
- Must be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington. All student workers must reside within the State of Washington.
- Term: January 6, 2026 – April 14, 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $17.13 – $18.25 per hour, based on previous terms worked at the institution.
- Schedule: 3 hours in class per week (Tuesdays, 9:00 - 11:50 a.m.), plus additional support hours.
- Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks requiring fine finger dexterity.
