About the role#
This position is for a Student Teaching Assistant for ANI-2000 (Ng) during the Fall 2026 term. The role involves supporting the instructor with classroom operations and providing mentorship to students. You will assist with equipment setup, facilitate student presentations, and monitor student progress during labs. This is a paid, on-site position based in Redmond, Washington. Applicants must be currently matriculated students at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
What you'll do#
- Assist students in labs and during published office hours.
- Provide constructive feedback on student assignments.
- Meet with students online if required.
- Track and report hours worked accurately.
- Assist the instructor with equipment operation and other requested tasks.
- Observe student progress and proactively offer assistance with workflows.
What you'll need#
- Proven proficiency with the course material and a grade of B or better in ANI-2000.
- Proficiency in Maya and familiarity with Unreal Engine.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide professional critique.
- A positive attitude toward learning and a willingness to mentor fellow students.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and good academic standing.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Term: September 1 to December 4, 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site only. You must reside within the State of Washington.
- Schedule: Class sessions are Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. You may choose to work one, two, or all three sections based on your availability.
- Hours: Expected 2 hours per session, per week.
- Wage: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, depending on the number of terms worked at DigiPen.
- Eligibility: You must be a matriculated student. You cannot work during times when you have a scheduled class.
