This position supports human-subjects research under the direction of Professor Christopher Hawk. The role involves managing lab operations and contributing to the administrative and analytical components of ongoing research projects.
What you'll do#
- Prepare lab spaces and guide participants through study protocols.
- Manage research data by consolidating, organizing, and maintaining accurate records.
- Conduct literature searches, including reading, cataloging, and storing academic articles.
- Assist with literature reviews and the preparation of IRB applications.
- Develop study materials and stimuli as needed.
- Perform data coding and analysis.
What you'll need#
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Experience with literature reviews or data collection.
- Proficiency in R for data analysis and experience with Python.
- Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and successful completion of PSY-101 with a grade of B or better.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington. This is an on-site position; remote work outside of Washington is not permitted.
- Term: Summer 2026 (May 11 – July 31, 2026).
- Hours: 10 hours per week.
- Compensation: $17.13 – $18.25 per hour, based on previous terms worked at the institution.
- Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks requiring fine finger dexterity, stooping, or kneeling. The role is primarily sedentary (80% sitting).
