    About the role#

    The International Student Affairs and Study Abroad (ISASA) department is seeking a Student Assistant to support projects focused on campus inclusivity and study abroad initiatives. This role involves researching local cultural resources, designing informational materials for new students, and collecting data through interviews. This position is open only to currently matriculated students at DigiPen Institute of Technology who are eligible for Federal Work Study (FWS) and possess an accepted FWS award.

    What you'll do#

    • Research and compile a comprehensive guide of local Muslim resources, such as mosques, halal restaurants, community centers, and grocery stores for newly arrived students.
    • Create informational pamphlets and a PowerPoint presentation for New Student Orientation to support the integration of Muslim culture.
    • Conduct 20-30 minute informational interviews with students.
    • Compile and transcribe interview recordings and draft questions regarding study abroad interests and barriers for inclusion in the annual campus-wide survey.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
    • Eligibility for Federal Work Study with an accepted FWS award.
    • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Canva, or similar design software.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Previous experience in a customer service role.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Redmond, Washington. This position is on-site, and employees must reside within the state of Washington.
    • Term: Summer 2026 (April 27 – May 31, 2026).
    • Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week. Students may not work during any time they have a scheduled class.
    • Compensation: $18.25 per hour.
