About the role#
The Career and Alumni Relations Assistant (CARA) serves as a student representative for the Office of Career and Alumni Relations. This role supports professional development initiatives for students and fosters partnerships with employer guests. The position runs from Fall 2026 through Spring 2027, with schedules modified each semester to accommodate class commitments.
What you'll do#
- Support staff with events including Company Days, job fairs, and networking mixers through tasks like employer research and promotional support.
- Market departmental events by creating and placing advertisements around campus.
- Provide customer service to visitors and foster a welcoming environment in the office.
- Assist with data and reporting projects, including tracking post-graduate employment milestones.
- Collaborate with staff members on various projects on an as-needed basis.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current, matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Eligibility for Federal Work Study with an accepted award is required.
- Strong communication skills for both 1:1 and public settings.
- Ability to work as a self-starter with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with the DigiPen campus, degree programs, culture, and student perspectives.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or Psychology.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: 6 to 10 hours per week.
- Students must reside within the State of Washington; remote work outside of the state is not permitted.
