Coordinator of Residence Life & Student Experience

About the role#

The Coordinator of Residence Life & Student Experience is a full-time, live-in position at DigiPen Institute of Technology. This role balances housing operations (75%) with student engagement initiatives (25%). Responsibilities include supervising residential staff, managing on-call rotations, and supporting campus-wide student programming.

What you'll do#

• Supervise 10 to 15 Resident Advisor (RA) staff, including holding regular 1:1 meetings and overseeing event proposals and weekly reports.
• Assist in the execution of annual and monthly RA training sessions.
• Oversee facility needs, housing unit openings and closings, and the distribution of a monthly housing newsletter.
• Serve on an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support to students.
• Advise the Dragon Activities Board (DAB), including supervising student leaders and managing budgets for student events.
• Serve on the New Student Orientation (NSO) Steering Committee to assist with planning and execution.
• Support academic year and summer operations within Housing & Residence Life.

What you'll need#

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A Master’s degree or relevant graduate study is considered an asset but is not required.
• Experience in event management and budget management.
• Ability to support both academic year and summer operations.
