About the role#
The Student Food Service Worker helps prepare and serve meals for Denver Public Schools. You will work in a kitchen environment to ensure students receive their meals according to safety and quality standards.
What you'll do#
- Prepare food items following specific recipes.
- Set up serving lines for meal service.
- Serve meals to students.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, dishes, and equipment.
- Operate a cash register.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Emily Griffith High School.
- One letter of reference from a Dean, Counselor, Teacher, Assistant Principal, or Principal.
- Ability to read, count, and perform simple math.
- A commitment to racial and educational excellence and dismantling systems of inequity.
- A permanent home address in Colorado.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
